When the mayor of a large American city so violates religious liberty, all moral men must speak out. They must speak in the broadest realm possible to them.

According to Scripture, what is justice? Or what is judgment? (They are often interchangeable.)

Judgment always involves stopping and punishing a wrong-doer. That is the common feature when Scripture speaks of it. If no one stole from another or harmed another, there would be no need for society to provide judgment or justice. The need arises because men initiate force. Someone must judge between conflicting parties to prevent a feud.

It’s a tall claim to say that the Bible supports laissez faire capitalism. Important (even conservative) Christian voices would reject the idea. But it’s the claim I’m making. Over the next several posts I’ll support it.

Where To Get Reliable News

What can anyone do? Our leading politicians do not share our values. In general, they do not defend our individual rights.

Mainstream media cannot help. It has sold itself to the leftist cause. Journalistic standards continue to erode. Marxism motivates much of today’s “reporting.”

Even many conservative commentators leave me unimpressed. Though they may be conservative, I’m not convinced that they know how to think in principle.
